Akane has the ability to access the Morphogenetic Field. Morphogenetic fields are said to be the input and output of creation. Every thought of every individual rests there. In 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, the idea of the Morphogenetic Field is used such that there are two people, a transmitter and receiver of ideas and they have to get out of a certain situation through the use of transmitting and receiving these ideas. Put simply, it's telepathy that is shared by two people who are connected to each other mentally through the field.

She is able to receive information, through minor epiphanies, just as long as it has happened to another person at another place. However, she is considered as one of the most powerful transmitters in the Nonary Game, to be able to reach someone telepathically nine years into the future to be able to save her own life. Her ability goes beyond transmitting information to actually control someone else's thoughts in the future. She is also able to access multiple timelines through the fields and gain information from all possible timelines.
